THE 2018 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is shaping up to be one of the most exciting races in recent years.

What is the Arc de Triomphe?

The Arc de Triomphe is a Group 1 race open to thoroughbred horses aged three and over. Geldings are not allowed to compete.

It is run over a distance of one mile and four furlongs.

It was first run in 1920 and is one of the most prestigious races in the world.

When is the Arc de Triomphe?

This year’s Arc will be run on 7th October.

There is an undercard on the 6th October.

The race will be shown live on At The Races and Racing UK.

At The Races is on Sky Channel 415 and Virgin Media Channel 535.

Racing UK is on Sky Channel 426 and Virgin Media Channel 536.

ITV may also broadcast the race as they did last year.

This year’s Arc offers £2,528,319 to the winner!

Who is the favourite for this year’s race?

Impressive Yorkshire Oaks winner Sea Of Class is the current 4-1 favourite, with last year’s winner Enable close behind at 9-2.

Cracksman, Crystal Ocean and Lah Ti Dar are all snapping at their heels.
