LIVERPOOL are sweating over the fitness of Roberto Firmino after the Brazilian was substituted with an eye injury during the club’s 2-1 win at Tottenham.
Spurs’ Jan Vertonghen took a wild swipe at the striker, accidentally catching him in the eye, and fans will now hope for a swift recovery.
What is the latest update on Roberto Firmino’s eye injury and will he be fit to face PSG?
Liverpool updated fans yesterday and, to everyone’s relief, confirmed Firmino has not suffered any lasting eye damage.
A statement from the club read: “A hospital examination confirmed an abrasion of the eye, but there will be no lasting damage.
“The issue will be monitored and treated by medical staff before any decision is made on whether he will figure against PSG.
